Can I only use my ringtones that I bought from iTunes on a iPhone? Can I use it on my cell phone?

I bought a ringtone from iTunes, can I only use it on an iPhone? My friend said that she sent her’s to her brother and it worked, how could I do that?

all i know is that itunes is for iphone only. got my ringtones here:
