Why doesn’t the iPhone OS allow for custom message tones?
I realize that I would have to jailbreak my phone to use custom SMS/email/etc. tones on my iPhone 3G. I don’t want to know HOW to get them. I want to know why the OS doesn’t let you. Wouldn’t it make sense from Apple’s standpoint to let us? They’d probably sell more ringtones on iTunes, not that I buy them. But seriously, why no custom SMS tones?
